What I’m Watching #2: Hawaii Five-0

People tend to be surprised to learn I watch this show. I guess it's not a staple among my TV-watching friends. If you're not familiar with it, it’s your standard cop show—someone is murdered at the beginning and the killer is caught by the end. But this one has the added bonus of being set in Hawaii so the scenery is great. It also stars Alex O’Loughlin. If you don’t know who he is, do yourself a favor and Google Image search him. You’ll thank me later.

He plays a former Navy guy who is basically a super hero. This guy jumps off buildings or out of moving cars…he does the craziest things, never gets hurt, and always gets his guy. He’s the head of the Five-0 task force, which is a team of people who can pretty much do whatever they want to solve their cases because the governor of Hawaii said so. Being 100% accurate/realistic isn't the show's top priority, clearly.

CBS moved Hawaii Five-0 from Mondays nights to Friday nights a couple seasons ago, which is a tricky time slot. Part of me worried it was the first step to being cancelled, but so far it's still going strong. It’s a fun show; nothing mind bending, but a good hour of entertainment that's easy on the eyes (scenery and cast).
